It wasn’t until he was four that Taylor talked – but almost immediately, he was humming music & impersonating Elvis. Now 25, Taylor is a professional voice actor, musician, and co-founder/operator of the professional recording studio ‘Silverthorn Studios’. Once a finalist on Canadian Idol, Taylor has performed across Ontario & writes, produces and performs songs that garner millions of views for Youtube’s ‘Super Planet Dolan’. Taylor also wrote the music & lyrics for ‘The Beaver Den: A New Canadian Musical’, has written for CBC, and hit artists including Danny Fernandes & Peter Driemanis (of July Talk), along with writing the official theme song for two upcoming animated series, as well as Disney XD’s ‘Fangbone!’
A section contributor to the Amazon #1 best-selling book ‘The Song Creation Formula’, Taylor has co-lead the acclaimed ‘Song Creation Workshop’ with Signe Miranda, and is half the duo Taylor & Bryn.
In recent years, Taylor has also become an in-demand voice actor. He can be heard as a leading role in many series including ‘Fangbone!’ (Disney XD), Yuki in ‘Beyblade: Metal Fury’ (Cartoon Network), Jonas on ‘Bob The Slob!’ (Teletoon), Luis on the multi-Emmy nominated ‘The Future Is Wild’ (Teletoon/Discovery Kids), as well as supporting roles in series such as ‘George Of The Jungle’ (Nickelodeon), ‘Beyraiderz’ (Cartoon Network), ‘Looped!’ (DHX), ‘The 3 Amigonauts’ (YTV), and more. For the popular live action sitcom ‘The Stanley Dynamic’ (YTV), Taylor plays the lead character of Luke Stanley, who, is a normal teenager, except for the fact that he’s a cartoon. In order to seamlessly have the cartoon of Luke interacting with live action characters & environments, Taylor goes through the same rehearsal & filming process as all the other cast members.
Taylor also has many on-screen commercial & film credits from his childhood/teenage years, including playing Jimmy Osmond in the ABC biopic ‘Inside The Osmonds’, & Eliott in PAX TV’s ‘Doc’ starring Billy Ray Cyrus, a series for which Taylor was nominated for a Young Actor’s Award for ‘Best Performance In A Supporting Role’. Taylor also played ‘Cinco’, in the Ross Petty musical pantomime ‘Snow White & The Group Of Seven’ along with rock royalty such as Alan Frew of Glass Tiger, and can even be heard in a small vocal cameo in the underground movie classic ‘Hedwig & The Angry Inch’ (Newline Cinema).
Taylor has created numerous charitable initiatives, including the monthly music comedy variety show ‘Hey Lets Make Music!’, and ‘The Captains Of C.O.D.E’, a leadership program for youth grades 2-6.
